To have the opportunity to strike someone or something. I can't believe neither of them scored when they both got a whack at the puck right in front of the net. If you hadn't held me back, I totally would have gotten a whack at that jerk. He deserved it! Once Sarah got a whack at the equation, she solved it right away!
