To ornament or embellish something with something else. Often done with food. A noun or pronoun can be used between "garnish" and "with." People often garnish ham with pineapple slices. Hey, where's my cherry? Don't they usually garnish a Shirley Temple with a cherry? A: "Am I supposed to eat this parsley?" B: "No, I think they just garnished your dish with it."
