For any compensation or incentive; under any conditions or in any situation. Often used in the negative. If there are bugs in your basement, then I'm not going down there for quids! This is a treasured heirloom from my grandmother, so I would never sell it, not for quids. I have terrible stage fright, so I'm not participating in the talent show for quids!
