To sink rapidly when traveling through the air (as would a rock). She mistimed the jump and flew like a rock instead of executing a graceful somersault. I'm pretty sure she got a concussion and some stitches for her attempt. When I threw my toy, it flew like a rock and broke into pieces upon hitting the ground. Greg flew like a rock off the diving board and belly-flopped into the pool.
