slang Strong alcohol, usually whiskey. I can't drink any more of that firewater, I don't want to be hung over tomorrow! I don't drink much at all, so I'm certainly not having any of that firewater! Ugh, I wasn't expecting the bartender to give me such firewater! I almost spit it out!
