1. To cause something to happen through scheming or deception. How on earth did that lowly intern finagle a meeting with the big TV executive? Ugh, not only is Ed's girlfriend super annoying, she somehow manages to finagle her way into everything we do! I'm sure Caroline finagled it so that the boss would see you come in late.
2. To scheme or deceive. I don't trust Tom—he's known for his finagling. If you can't get us the money honestly, then stop finagling—I don't our business associated with anything shady. I'm sure Rich is finagling his next scam as we speak.
