proverb Facts cannot be changed or altered. I know she's insisting that she wasn't speeding, but facts are stubborn things—she'll have a hard time proving her innocence when the officer's speed radar clocked how fast she was going. But I know you got a D on your math test, so I really doubt you studied that hard. Facts are stubborn things, huh? You can tell the police whatever you want, but facts are stubborn things—especially when supported by video evidence.
