A large number or a majority of people. Used hyperbolically. I'm so jealous, everyone and their dog is going on a vacation this summer except for me. I just wanted to have a small dinner party, and now you've invited everyone and their dog! What are we going to feed all these people? Everyone and their dog has that brand of smartphone. I'd rather have something a bit more unique.
