elbow aside

To physically push someone away. A noun or pronoun can be used between "elbow" and "aside." Well, I was waiting in line, but then some jerks came along and elbowed me aside! You can't just elbow aside anyone in your way. A: "Ouch! Don't you see me standing in line here?" B: "Sorry, ma'am, I didn't mean to elbow you aside like that."

elbow someone aside

to push someone aside with one's elbow or arm. She elbowed the other woman aside and there was almost a fight. The rude woman elbowed aside all the other people.
