To spend a lot of money on someone or something. Whoa, you must have dropped a bundle on that entertainment system. Even though I dropped a bundle on that prospective employee, he turned down our offer. Wow, Sean certainly didn't drop a bundle on that junker. He'll be lucky to get to the end of the block without it breaking down!

tv. to spend a lot of money pleasing or entertaining someone. I dropped a bundle on the candidate, and it didn’t help me at all.
