double date

A date that two couples go on together. My best friend and I are going on a double date this weekend, in the hopes that our boyfriends will get to know each other better. I had no idea it was going to be a double date, but it actually turned out to be fun. My friend was desperate to go on a date with this guy, so that's why I agreed to go on a double date with his friend.
