dotey

dotey

slang Primarily heard in Ireland.
1. Extremely cute or adorable, especially a baby or young child. Is that your new baby? Oh my gosh, what a dotey little darling! My gosh, did you see that dotey toddler in her tutu? Adorable! My little niece was absolutely dotey in her Halloween costume.
2. Very sweet, thoughtful, or generous. A: "Sarah paid for my meal yesterday after I left my wallet at home." B: "She's so dotey, isn't she?" A: "Here, I got you a coffee." B: "Oh, thank you, Bill! You're so dotey!" Luckily, Allison was dotey enough to warn me that the boss was in a bad mood before I went in to ask him about a raise.
