cut the pie up

To divide or split something. This is the total amount we made at the yard sale, but I'm not sure how to cut the pie up since we all did different amounts of work. When I cut the pie up for royalty payments, I am not including any band members who did not directly contribute to the writing of this song! This is a big project, but there are six of us, so I think we can cut the pie up evenly and all do the same amount of work.
