An abundance of something. The phrase is Biblical in origin. When I was looking for art supplies, I found corn in Egypt in Maisie's craft room. I wasn't looking to expand my record collection, but I sure stumbled upon corn in Egypt when I cleaned out my parents' attic! Researchers in our field have uncovered so much data lately. We seem to find corn in Egypt with every experiment we do!

This expression comes from the aged Jacob's instructions to his sons in Genesis 42:2: ‘Behold, I have heard that there is corn in Egypt: get you down thither, and buy for us from thence’.
