cishet

A heterosexual person who identifies with the gender assigned to them at birth. The word combines "cisgender" with "heterosexual," pronounced "sis-het." What, I can't be an ally just because I'm cishet? Come on now. How are you truly going to relate to a non-binary person's experience when you're cishet? You simply can't. I was born a female, never questioned my identity as a female, and am romantically attracted to men. I guess that makes me cishet, huh?
