cash up

To tally the amount of money earned at the end of a working day, as at a shop, restaurant, or business. I hate when I have to cash up at the end of the night—it just makes the shift last that much longer. Why don't these figures match up? Who cashed up last night? I have to cash up, so I'm going to be a little late getting home from work, honey.
