slang The hallucinogenic drug mescaline, which is derived from peyote (a type of cactus). I think they're high on cactus buttons! I took a bunch of cactus buttons on the camping trip and had the wildest trip of my life while exploring the wilderness. I'm all out of weed, but I still have some cactus buttons if you want that instead.
