Hidden among the books stored in a library. (The "stacks" is the area in a library in which books and other resources are stored.) I loved coming across the most random and bizarre titles buried in the stacks when I worked as a library technician. The story focuses on a young librarian who finds an ancient tome buried in the stacks with the power to open a gateway to an alternate dimension. Hmm, the computer says that title was returned weeks ago. Let me check and make sure it's not buried in the stacks over there.
