build out of

build out of (something)

To assemble or construct something from a certain material. A noun or pronoun can be used between "build" and "out." The construction crew plans to build the wall out of bricks. I don't want to be one of those parents who acts like their kid has built the Taj Mahal out of blocks. Like, it's a block tower, get over it, people! The previous owners built a fence out of wood years ago, and now, the wood is rotting.

to construct something from parts or materials. She built a tower out of the blocks. They will build the bridge out of reinforced concrete.
