To cause someone or something to be engaging or entertaining or to begin exhibiting energy, vigor, etc. Those stories from the artist's closest friends really brought the documentary alive. This comeback has brought the crowd alive. The sustained cheers from the audience really seemed to bring her alive in the second half of the concert.
