1. To save something, usually on a website or in an app. I didn't have time to read that article, so I bookmarked it for later. I finally bookmarked that site since I visit it every day. I've definitely expanded my vocabulary by bookmarking the app's Word of the Day every day.
2. By extension, to commit something to memory. These green beans are delicious—let me read and bookmark your recipe. After missing my first appointment, I bookmarked the rescheduled date. A: "No, not 6:00—you need to be there no later than 5:30, OK?" B: "Consider it bookmarked."
