2. To be struck with or affected by tender emotions, especially gratitude or sympathy, as a result of some gesture, act, or thing. I was really touched with all the students' farewell cards on my last day of teaching. We were all very touched with what you said at the funeral, Mike. A: "I knew you'd never been on a real date before, so I wanted make it special for you." B: "Wow. I'm so touched with the effort you put into all of this!"
