be touched out

be touched out

To have had an excess of physical contact from one's children, especially such that one is not receptive to physical contact from one's romantic partner. Look, Tom, it's not at all that I don't want to be intimate with you. But after having the baby with me all day long, I'm just a bit touched out, that's all. I'm so touched out these days that I'm looking forward to my little ones being teenagers who want nothing to do with me! My sweet husband knew I was touched out, so he went to sleep in the guest room so I could have a bed to myself for a change!
