To be brief while still being satisfying or to the point; to be succinct. This meeting needs to be short and sweet—I don't have a lot of time today. The film is short and sweet, telling its story while never outstaying its welcome. I'm sorry, but I want those four hours of my life back! I would definitely like awards shows better if they were short and sweet.
