To be eager and prepared to take action. Often said when one is ready to leave a certain place. Are you ready yet? The rest of us are ready to roll! After taking a break from my research over the weekend, I was ready to roll on Monday morning. Come on, the kids are ready to roll—I've already got them in the car.
