To be in a very distant, remote, and isolated location. I'll never understand why they built this campus way out here. It's in the middle of nowhere! We're in the middle of nowhere, so I doubt you'll get any cell phone reception. Maureen asked me out to her new house, but I didn't feel like going—her place is in the middle of nowhere.
