To be placated due to someone's lies, misinformation, or empty promises. If the money isn't your account by now, don't be fobbed off by claims that they'll refund you. They're just trying to get you to go away. I genuinely believed that they'd send me a replacement, but that was over a month ago. It seems I was fobbed off. How is Mrs. Henry fobbed off by these lame excuses? This kid clearly isn't sick, he's just cutting class!
