To have resumed one's daily work, as after a vacation or brief hiatus. Primarily heard in UK. I'm not thrilled about being back in the harness on Monday. I always take an extra couple of days off when I travel so that I won't be back in harness the very next day after I fly back. A: "Oh, you're back in the harness already?" B: "Yep, don't remind me!"
