1. Literally, to reach a destination after traveling. What time are we supposed to arrive at Paul's? Because we got stuck in traffic, we arrived at the party late. I always arrive at school early like this. The real question is, what are you doing here?
2. To reach a particular decision or understanding. I'm thrilled to announce that the committee has finally arrived at a consensus. Have the doctors arrived at a decision yet? I'm so antsy! How long do you think it will take them to arrive at a decision about our project's funding?
