amble along

To walk in a slow or aimless fashion. We had some extra time before the concert, so we ambled along Main Street. I'm usually late because my kids just amble along, as if we have no time constraints whatsoever. I hate when I'm walking in the city and get stuck behind a group of people who are just ambling along.
