In a manner or style imitative of someone or something else. When John F. Kennedy was president, many women dressed after the fashion of his wife, Jacqueline. I think that classical piece is after the fashion of the Baroque masters. Furniture after the fashion of mid-century modern has exploded in popularity in recent years.
