a hitch in (one's) gitalong
a hitch in (one's) gitalong
informal A limp. Primarily heard in US. Grandpa's had a hitch in his gitalong since the war—that's why he walks with a cane. Whew, that cramp sure gave me a hitch in my gitalong! I'm feeling better now, though. He got a hitch in his gitalong running to second base. Hopefully, it's not a serious injury.
