An approach in which one targets a large number of different goals simultaneously in the hopes that at least some will succeed, rather than focusing more intensely on a single goal or issue at the risk of total failure. The governor has taken something of a buckshot approach in his final term in office, trying to put forward as many bills as he can and seeing what will stick. Look, some marketing agencies prefer the buckshot approach, trying to capture as many demographics as possible, but I've always found a singular, more focused approach to yield greater results in the long run. At this point, you guys should be past taking a buckshot approach. Don't you have a more refined angle for your research by now?
