PLOKTA
PLOKTA
slang An acronym for "press lots of keys to abort," used in reference to a computer user's attempt to elicit a response of some kind from the machine by hitting many different keys on the keyboard. Sometimes spelled in lowercase letters. The command prompt filled up with gibberish PLOKTA entries as I tried to find the correct sequence to terminate the program. Most casual users report to plokta whenever their computer stalls for more than 30 seconds.
