Nelson's blood

nautical slang Rum. The phrase refers to British admiral Horatio Nelson, whose corpse was transported to England in a liquor-filled cask. A: "Some Nelson's blood for you gentlemen?" B: "Yes, please. It's been a very long night on the salty seas."
