I like pie
slang An intentionally off-topic and dimwitted response to someone else's comment or post. Used in online communications, such as forums, message boards, social media, etc.
1. Used as a way to divert attention away from or refuse to engage with a post or comment, especially one seen as being intentionally inflammatory or especially moronic. A: "It's obvious that this is all a conspiracy to keep us enslaved to the reptilian overlords who control society!" B: "I like pie." A: "He's the league's shining star, so they have to make this scandal go away. That's totally what's happening here!" B: "I like pie." A: "Don't you think the government is looking to replace all humans with bots?" B: "I like pie."
2. Used as a way to divert attention away from or refuse to engage with a negative or vitriolic response. A: "God, you're so idiotic! Why do you keep posting here? This forum is supposed to be for enthusiasts, not plebian noobs!" B: "I like pie." A: "GO AWAY!" A: "You're an absolute moron if you think the government is actually operating with our best interest at heart." B: "I like pie." A: "You're a waste of oxygen, you know that, pal?" B: "I like pie."
