A sarcastic phrase used in response to criticism or a reprimand, often for a minor indiscretion. Well, excuse me for living! Next time, I won't bother trying to help you at all! Excuse me for living—and being the only person to actually care about your future! A: "Geez, the boss really has no patience for your ideas at all, huh?" B: "Right? Like, excuse me for living!"
