euphemism A humorous term for a menstrual period. A pun on the "flow" of blood and tissue from the uterus. Ugh, I have horrible cramps because Aunt Flo has come to town. Sorry for being so snappish with you, Aunt Flo's in town at the moment. Sorry, I don't think I'm going to come swimming. Aunt Flo came to town yesterday.
