tell me another one

set phrase A sarcastic comment said when one does not believe or is skeptical of what someone is telling them. The expression treats what was said as a joke, i.e., it was so untrue or unlikely that it was funny. You're actually going to be on time tonight? Oh, sure, tell me another one! A: "I was at the library, I swear!" B: "Yeah, right, tell me another one."
