An expression of one's frustration or irritation that one's warnings or advice to someone else have gone ignored. Oh, hell mend her—l told her to study more for the exam, but did she? No. And did she get a good grade? Also, no. Hell mend that fool, cheating on his girlfriend. I told him to break up with her first, but no, he had to go and make everything worse. Hell mend you kids—I told you the pond wasn't fully frozen! You're lucky the first responders were able to pull you out of the icy water so quickly!
