1. A positive occurrence, typically beyond one's hopes or expectations; a bonus. I've had the time of my life working on this project. If I make money from it, then that's just gravy. I'm thrilled with the connections I've made during my internship, so a job offer would totally be gravy! It was already my first-choice college, so getting a scholarship is just gravy, honestly.
2. Easily obtained profit or money. A: "I can't believe we made so much money from that simple project." B: "I know, it's all gravy." When you can make a ton of money doing what you love, man, it's certainly gravy! It'll be nothing but gravy once we secure this lucrative contract with the school district.
3. Great or excellent. Try not to get so stressed out, man—everything's gravy. It's all gravy when you're lounging by the pool on vacation! A: "How can you say 'everything's gravy' at a stressful time like this?" B: "Because I refuse to worry about things that haven't happened yet.
