To provide one with everything one wants. Usually used hyperbolically of a loved one or romantic partner. Of course he says he'd give you the world—he's desperate and trying to win you back. I don't want to settle for someone with no ambition. I want to be with someone who's going to give me the world! Susan's a great girl. You better give her the world, pal.
