To be surpassed in guile or cunning; to be outsmarted or outmaneuvered. I've been outfoxed by Phil one too many times to be able to trust him anymore. Man, we were definitely outfoxed on this deal—new data shows that our company was worth so much more than we accepted for it. I refuse to be outfoxed by someone who failed out of school and is only here because his father owns the company!
