slang An unpleasant experience induced by drugs. No, I don't take that stuff anymore—I had a bum trip last time. I don't know what it is, but I always end up having a bum trip on psychedelics anymore. I'm kind of worried about Tommy because he seemed to have such a bad trip after taking that drug.
