Watching or ready to watch something intently. The children were all eyes when the magician started performing. The fans in the stands were all eyes as overtime commenced. The teacher called for her students to be all eyes as she began the science experiment.

all eyes

Watching very closely, as in The buyers at the fashion show were all eyes. Worded slightly differently ( with all one's eyes), this idiom dates from the mid-1500s. Also see its counterpart, all ears.
