1. An initialism of "virtual reality," a computer-generated environment that is viewed through headgear and allows direct, real-time interactions by the user in order to create an immersive, lifelike experience. Often used as a modifier before a noun. A lot of people really enjoy it, but VR makes me really nauseated. Some schools have begun using VR to teach kids history. The company boasts the most lifelike experience possible, but their VR headsets cost upwards of $2,000.
2. An initialism of "very respectfully," used as a polite but informal valediction, as at the end of a letter or email. Also spelled "V/R" and "V.R." It has been a pleasure doing business with you.
