slang An initialism of "oh my God," used to express surprise, alarm, dismay, annoyance, or exasperation. Primarily used in text messages and online communications, though it is not uncommon in informal speech. A: "Can you believe what the governor said?" B: "OMG I know! I hope he gets ousted from office!" OMG, Sandy—where on earth did you get that bag? It's, like, totes adorable! A: "I heard we're having a pop quiz tomorrow!" B: "OMG, I haven't done any of the readings! :-O "
