moby

slang A mobile phone. Primarily heard in UK. A: "But every girl in my class has her own moby!" B: "Well, that's just too bad—you're still too young." It's depressing to see everyone on the train with their heads glued to their mobies, not a single moment of human interaction between them.

moby

(ˈmobi)
1. mod. enormous; unwieldy. (Like Herman Melville’s great white whale, Moby Dick.) This is a very moby old car.
2. n. a megabyte, a measurement of computer memory size. (A megabyte is whale-sized compared to a kilobyte.) My fixed disks give me a capacity of over two thousand mobies.
