intersex

Describing a person who has a sexual or reproductive anatomy or chromosomal traits that exist on the spectrum between what would be classified as distinctly male or female. She is intersex herself and working to destigmatize the term. Intersex people are entitled to the same respect—and rights—as the rest of us, OK?
