An undocumented immigrant who was brought to the US as a child and is a recipient of DACA ("Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals"), a government program allowing them to stay in the country and have certain benefits (such as the ability to obtain permits to work legally). The term is derived from the DREAM Act, in which "DREAM" is an acronym for "Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors." The Dreamers remain a constant source of debate in Washington.

dreamers and doers

cliché Those who imagine or fantasize about what could be in contrast to those who take action. There are the dreamers and the doers in any industry. But in this industry, the dreamers get left behind in the clouds while the doers get things done. You need both dreamers and doers to achieve real progress. You'll never get anything done with thought and no action, and you'll never innovate with all action and no thought.
